Chapter Two: A Rogue's Life

 Fire tussled around with the large grey tom . " Get away from my mate," the tom yowled. "You're trying to steal my kits," he hissed, as he clawed at Fire.
 "Feathermoon is my mate. You're the one who should leave my mate and kits alone," said Fire.  He reached for the huge tom's eyes. Fire felt a pain in his paw as the tom cut into his pads with his claws.
The air was filled with dust and cats could hear the yowls and screeches for many fox-lengths.
The kits' eyes grew wide and they dove under the water to hide.
Feathermoon's heart beat faster when she wondered if Reedpool would be angry if he found out  the kits were not his . Feathermoon always suspected that Fire would find her but not so easily.
"I better tell Minnowstar that a fight is going on," she thought.

A paw raked across Fire's face. He looked up to see who wanted his attention . It was Minnowstar , leader of Waterclan . The wise white tabby said to the cat who had attacked Fire , " Reedpool , try and test the rogue to see if he can join the clan. After all , he is Feathermoon's mate. She told me that ."
Reedpool's eyes burned with anger. He bared his teeth at Fire. "You better watch out, rogue. Someday I'll get you. Maybe even today," he hissed quietly into Fire's ear.
 "I'm glad you're going to try to accept me into your clan," said Fire. He was trying to stop his paws from shaking after hearing Reedpool's warning.
Reedpool and Fire walked towards the shore.
"I'm sending you on a mission to free a kittypet in a house with no dogs," said Reedpool.
"Maybe this is a trap," thought Fire, "but I have to go through with it or I won't be accepted into the clan."
Fire raced to the house on a shortcut that he learned when he was a kit . When he got to the house he looked up , surprised to see a huge dog baring its teeth at him !

Fire sped through the twolegplace, searching for the way into the forest . A group of other rogue cats  insulted Fire as they chased him through the alleys . "You stole our firewater, you mangy fang-face," they shouted. As Fire ran through the alleys, he dodged garbage cans and puddles of twoleg firewater.  "When will I ever get to the forest?" he thought. The wind blew through his neat, long gray fur. For a rogue cat, he was sort of a wimp, but he could still hunt and fight well.  As Fire looked up, he saw a large group of trees that he recognized as the forest.  He looked back and saw that the rogues stopped chasing him . Fire quietly padded into he forest.  He heard the sharp call of owls.  It was nighttime. The forest air was a little too warm for Fire's long, thick fur.  Fire walked through the forest, following the stale scent of his mate. At last Fire found Waterclan , his  mate's clan. As he looked in the grotto he saw Feathermoon, his mate, playing with kits. As he approached to see if he would be welcomed, a large grey tom leaped on him!

the clans and the holy spots

There are four  clans :
Shadowclan , thunderclan , windclan, and riverclan . shadowclan is fierce and
 stealthy. they never take in house cats to join their clan. thunderclan is fair. they do not tolerate rogues [stray cats that steal prey]. windclan  is the fastest clan . they dig tunnels and hunt above ground. last of all the clans is river clan . they can swim better than any cat. the leader of river clan now  is mistystar, a very kind leader. the last leader , leopardstar, died of a cold.


The holy spots are the moonstone and moonpool. they are located in the highrocks. cats will discover the moonpool much later than the moon stone. warriors and leaders go to the moon stone for ceremonies such as the leader or warrior ceremonies .

warrior cats : what they are and what they are not

. warrior cats are not pets . there is a such thing as a daytime warrior , but it is only half house cat .      a warrior cat is a wild cat [ note: not  wild cat like lion or tiger ] . they hunt to survive . they do not rely on people to give them food or water . they do not have cute names like fuzz or fur kin . they have names like firestar  or my made up warrior name , scorch heart . warrior cats are not stray cats. they are clan cats . other types include rouges , loners , or tribe cats. tribe cats live in the mountains and are completely different from clan cats . warrior cats are not just warriors. there are doctor cats called medicine cats . medicine cats are not allowed to have kits [ kittens ] or a mate . their life is completely medicinal and spiritual . before becoming a medicine cat or a warrior , all cats must be apprentices [trainees]. they need to be a apprentice because they must learn fighting and hunting skills.medicine cat apprentices need to train in the arts of medicine . medicine cats and warriors become warriors or medicine cats when they see the moon stone or the moon pool . the moon stone is located in the highrocks . this concludes my post
